Qatar: MCC Annual Throwball Tournament on Oct 25, 26

Doha, Oct 25: Encouraged by last year's overwhelming response, both from players and spectators alike, MCC is delighted to organize its sixth annual throwball tournament for ladies. The nine participating teams in this year's
tournament are MCC, runners up of 2006,  Tulu Koota, the reigning champions, Konkan Stars, Karavali, Unpredictables, Shooting Stars, Lanka Lions, Qatar Tamizhar Sangham, and Al Maha Club. These teams were split into two groups
and a few of the league matches were held on Thursday, October 18 and Friday, October 19, 2007 at the Birla School Grounds.

The remaining league matches will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2007 from 7:30 p.m. Based on the results of the league matches, the semi-finals and the final match will be played on Friday, October 26, 2007. The semi-final matches will be played at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 26. The much awaited inaugural ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. and this will be followed by the third place play - off and the final match. The proceedings of the evening will conclude with the prize distribution ceremony.

The main sponsor of the event is Mr. Alfred Sequeira of Gulf International Enterprises and the co-sponsors are Arthur Mendonca, Qatar Kentz, Hotel Ramada, Mannai Air Travels and Ali Bin Ali Travels. The others sponsors include Birla Public School, Integral Services Co., Jumbo Electronics, McDonalds, Nadec, Lulu Hypermarket, Rasgas, Exxon Mobil and Safa Water.

MCC extends a warm invitation to all the sports lovers in Qatar to be a part of this exciting event and cheer for their favorite team.
