Udupi, Apr 20: A video showing five individuals travelling on a single scooter in clear violation of traffic rules has gone viral, sparking widespread public outrage. The incident is believed to have occurred in the Manipal area.

The video, which is circulating on various social media platforms, shows five people riding a scooter dangerously, attracting concerns over road safety and law enforcement. While the exact location is yet to be confirmed, sources suggest it is linked to the Manipal region.

Manipal police have begun gathering information about the incident, but no formal complaint has been filed so far.

It is being reported that the individuals on the scooter are students. This has led to public questioning of the authorities: “If students break the rules, will they not be punished? Will the police not take action? Do traffic rules not apply anymore?”

Residents have also raised concerns over the increasing number of accidents on the Udupi-Manipal road and are demanding strict action against those who endanger public safety by violating traffic laws. They questioned why no immediate steps have been taken by the police against such offenders.
