Dubai, Oct 31: Karnataka Sangha Dubai (UAE) under the auspices of Indian Association, Dubai will organize “Karnataka Rajyotsava 2007” at Indian Consulate Hall, here on Thursday November 1 from 8.00 pm to 10.00 pm.

Renowned Kannada silver screen star Ramesh Aravind will be the chief guest on the occasion for the evening along with his family to grace.

The Karnataka Sangha, Dubai is socio-cultural, non-political and non-religious organization founded in the year 1985 to promote Karnataka’s rich and diverse heritage and culture, art and literature.

Since the beginning the Sangha has provided excellent forum for amateur talent, and invited professional artists from India, encouraged sports and games and represented Karnataka in various programmes held in the Emirates.

The “Karnataka Rajyotsava” is a state-level event which commemorated as a mark of unification of Karnataka. It is observed on the November 1 every year. All the state heads and dignitaries attend this grand function in the Raj Bhavan at Bangalore. The highest state award “Rajyotsava Award” is awarded during this event.

It could be recalled that Karnataka Sangha, Dubai received the “Suvarna Rajyotsava Award” last year.
