Shillong, Nov 2: Actress Preity Zinta is literally having a rocking time in the city while shooting her movie Har Pall .
In the last few days the city has been hosting rock concerts by bands like Mr Big and Sepultura. Last weekend, when Mr Big was playing in town, Preity took out time to catch on the action.
Along with boyfriend Ness Wadia, Preity attended the concert by Mr Big. She is a self-confessed lover of the band’s music and has grown up listening to their hits like ‘Wild World’ and ‘To Be With You’.
To Preity’s delight, the band’s frontman Eric Martin recognized her in the crowd and asked her to come on stage. Sharing the stage with one of her favourite bands, Preity says she “felt like a school girl out on her first date”.
Apart from the rock scene, Preity is also pretty impressed by Shillong’s scenic beauty and Meghalaya’s matrilineal society.
The actress wonders why Bollywood filmmakers don’t shoot more films in such a beautiful place.
Preity also believes that a lot can be learnt from the place’s matrilineal society that holds women and girls in high respect.
Besides Preity, Bollywood veteran Dharmendra is also shooting for ‘Har Pall’ which is being directed by acclaimed Assamese filmmaker Jahnu Barua .
