Dubai: Katapadi Konkans Celebrates Second Anniversary

Dubai, Nov 9: Katapadi Konkans, an association of parishioners of St Vincent De Paul Church Katapadi residing in the UAE celebrated their second anniversary at Al Mas Hotel Apartments (Behind Burjuman Centre Bur Dubai) here on Friday November 9.

The celebrations started at 11.30 am.

Stevan D’Souza compered the programme. Agnel D’Silva welcomed the gathering. This was followed by the director Oswald Soares' speech, . Agnel Rodrigues, secretary of the association presented the annual report. Anita, joint secretary proposed the vote of thanks.

The message sent by Fr Ronald Fernandes, parish priest of Katapadi was read out during the programme.

Varieties of games and entertainment programmes were conducted. Skit was presented by Joachim and friends and solo dance was performed by Aviola Pereira and Cassia Rodrigues. Housie-housie game was conducted by Roopus D’Souza and Lavina, which was enjoyed by all. The beat troupe Shylan music Dubai won the hearts of the gathering.

It was s fun-filled family get together for Katapadi Konkan members and their families.

A sumptuous lunch was served to all present.

    Probably one of the most active organizations in the Arab emirate, ensures that the Konkani culture is preserved there. Be a source of enlightenment for our native Konkani traditions and our religious heritage as well. I encourage you to publish a monthly newsletter from U.A.E. All the best !!!!!!!!!!!!

    Congratulations Katapady Konkans, You are really doing a fantastic service to your community in spite of the busy Schedule. God bless Lancy Shyna of Shylan Music group my friend witnessed the programme said they really did fantastic job kept the crowd and continue with the same spirit and the secret that i know my friend doesnt know is your helping the poor children with the funds you get from these shows.
