Mangaluru, Jun 29: The investigating officer in the case pertaining to murder of RTI activist, Vinayak P Baliga, near his residence in the city on March 21 this year, investigating officer has applied for court's permission to subject prime accused in the case, Naresh Shenoy, to narco analysis, polygraph, and brain mapping tests. They hope to achieve breakthrough in investigation through these methods.

When Shenoy was produced in the court on Monday, the investigating officers had filed applications seeking permission to subject him to the above tests. On conclusion of his police custody, Shenoy will be produced in the court on June 30. Tilak Chandra, assistant commissioner of city police and investigating officer of the case, expects the court to deliver its order on the above application on June 30.
In the meanwhile, second prime accused in the case, Srikanth, was produced in the court against on Tuesday, after which he was remanded to further judicial custody.
