Mangaluru, Jul 1: Pre-university or 12th standard is the most crucial stage in a student’s life. Students at this stage need to decide their career path, and that, in most cases, is a million dollar question. This step has to be taken after lots of planning and thinking. Carelessness in taking such life-altering decisions can lead to disastrous consequences. They need to take into consideration various factors such as their interests, job scope, opportunities etc while choosing their careers. This process gets simplified if they get an opportunity to attend an interactive session with professionals who are subject matter experts in their domain.
Usually, due to peer/parental pressure, students frequently end up making hasty decisions about their careers, and get into a field of study they're not cut out for. Another frequent mistake is looking for career guidance after 12th exams are over; this is something that they ought to seek out as early as possible. A little extra time spent doing research can prevent them from making serious career mistakes.
