Day-long Billawa Mega Musical & Cultural Extravaganza on Nov 23

Dubai, Nov 14: Billawas Dubai & Northern Emirates is a well-known community organization serving the society in the UAE Since 1997.
It was founded in April 1997 in the name of Billawa Balaga Dubai by few enthusiastic and energetic members with an aim to unite all the Billawas in the UAE and bring them on a common platform. Since then the community has grown substantially and in order to strengthen comradeship and unity among members, the Forum has re-organized itself as the ‘Billawas Dubai & Northern Emirates with a well-structured working committee combined with Laides Wing and started organizing various successful events and programmes beneficial for alound development of the community in UAE and back home in India.
By embarking on such socially-relevant activities, the Billawas Dubai & NE has earned a reputation as the premiere community service forum in the Emirates.
The whole process however is inspired by the principle of the great saint reformer Shree Narayana Guru – one Caste, one Religion and one God and to serve the society irrespective of caste creed and colour.
Some of main objectives of the Forum are:
a) Sponsoring deserving and poor Billawa students back home for their complete education
b) Help on appeal for donations and charity back home for noble cause
c) Help stranded Billawas in Dubai & Northern Emirates, due to redundancy or other reasons
d) Help poor & needy Billawa girls back home for their marriage
Recently Billawas Dubai & NE distributed over Rs 3 lac at “Vidyanidhi hasthanthara” (handing over of scholarship) function held at “Glass House” , Kudroli temple on August 26, 2007. This function was organized in coordination with Yuvavahiini Mangalore. This event was hailed by eminent politician Janardhan Poojary who appreciated the efforts of Billawas Dubai and said "It should be appreciated that the members of Billawas Dubai and Northern Emirates are spending on betterment of the community at the cost of their personal savings”
Likewise the achievements of the Billawas Dubai & Northern Emirates are commendable. Having a well-organized committee with the support of community leaders, entrepreneurs as well as well-wishers from other community has made everything possible.
The associtiaon has organized a family get-together to mark its 10th anniversary, on Friday November 23 at Crown Plaza Hotel, Dubai. An expected gathering of about 1000 people will witness a day-long event comprising of fun-filled entertainment with musical and cultural extravaganza.
Various dignitaries both from UAE as well as from back home will be present to witness the occasion. Shree Atmananda Saraswathi Swamiji of Shree Ramakshetra,Dharmasthala, Karkal MLA Sunil Kumar and well-known social worker and the chief mentor of Shree Narayana Guru Education Trust, Kulai, Manglaore Sadhu Poojary will be the chief guests on the occasion.
Billawas living in Dubai and Northern Emirates are cordially invited to join the organization and encourage to do better for future.
