Mangalore: Two High School Students Drown at Someshwar Beach

Mangalore, Nov 17: Two high school students drowned at Someshwar beach near Ullal here on Saturday November 17.

The deceased have been identified as Rafiq and Pramod, residents of Vorkady near Hosangadi. At the same time locals rescued two students, that is, Ansar and Pawan who too were on the verge of drowning in the turbulent sea.






All four of them were SSLC students at a school in Mudipu near here.   The bodies of the both the drowned have been fished out.

All the four students had been to Someshwar beach, without attending the school. All of them were washed away as they tried to venture into the rough waters of the sea. But ever-alert locals rescued 2 students, sources said. Ullal police have registered a case.

    We all make mistakes like these young ones. Many of times we will realise our mistake before it is too late and never venture into such things. Few of them are unfortunate and will not be given a second chance. I am Very sad that these young lads have not given a second chance to realise their mistake and survive.
