Mangalore: Unravelling Bomb Blasts will Trigger off Communal Unrest - Madani

• No post mortem about the imprisonment in connection with Coimbatore bomb blast
• Huge social justice conference at Cochin in January
Mangalore, Nov 17: "A politically motivated hidden agenda is involved in my imprisonment in connection with the Coimbatore bomb blast. The chapter is closed for me and i dont intend having any postmortem in this regard which will only lead to communal and political problems" said Abdul Nasar Madani, president of Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP), who was recently acquitted in the Coimbatore bomb blast case.
Speaking at a press conference held at Ganjimath on Saturday, November 17, he said that, he will start the PDP in Karnataka soon. An adhoc committee of the party will be constituted within two months and the state committee will also be formed within 6 months in Karnataka, he informed.
Incidentally he also informed that a social justice conference would be organized in Cochin to bring together the dalits and backward Muslims, in January 2008. Around 5 lakh people will be participating in this conference. Union minister Laloo Prasad Yadav, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi wiould be attending this function he added
Madani also mentioned that he would be writing a book about his life struggles since his childhood and his experience in prison.
Background:
A total of 13 bombs were blasted by miscreants in Coimbatore in on February 14 1998 killing 46 people and leaving 200 people injured. The bombs exploded barely 30 minutes before the BJP ex-president L K Advani was about to address an election rally at Coimbatore.
Abdul Nasir Madani, who is well known for his provoking speeches, was arrested by the police on 31st March 1998, for his alleged link with suspects of this blast. He was finally acquitted on 2007 August 1 and released from prison.
Madani has decided to strengthen the PDP in Kerala and start it in Karnataka. His re-entry into the political area has created a sensation in Kerala.
