SP promises action to address traffic problems in Bantwal area

Bantwal, Jul 16: Dakshina Kannada district superintendent of police (SP), Bhushan G Borase, assured to find a lasting solution to the problem of frequent traffic jams occurring at B C Road, Kaikamba, and Panemangalore.

The SP, who visited the town and inspected the traffic problems occurring at Kaikamba, Panemangalore and B C Road bus stand, spoke to media persons. He said that he was aware that there are traffic problems at B C Road and that he had come there to look for solution.

"At present, temporarily the problem would be addressed by posting additional personnel. In course of time, a permanent solution would be found in association with National Highways Authority of India, people's representatives, and local municipality," he stated.

Municipal president, Ramakrishna Alva, chief officer, Sudhakar Bhat, circle inspector, B K Manjaiah, and town station house officer, Nandakumar, were present.

    Traffic problem at BC Road can be stopped by just allowing Bantwal/Panemanglore bound Traffic to use One Lane on the Flyover at BC Road. Pls make appropraite Warning signs and road dividers.
    Crores have been spent on this underutilised flyover.....
