Bahrain: Annual Day of Guru Seva Samithi held

Bahrain, Nov 22: Guru Seva Samithi Bahrain, a socio-cultural organization of Billawas community celebrated its Fourth Anniversary on November 16 at Palace Hotel. The programme started at 11 am. The president of Guru Seva Samithi welcomed the members, guests and dignitaries and thanked all those who have supported the association since its inception.

Well-known artists from Karnataka with monolithic contribution in the field of cinema, drama and literature were present.  Award winning Kannada film star and producer Dr Jayamala, renowned writer and artist Bannanje Babu and Venugopal were honoured during the programme.

The chief guest, Indian Ambassador Balakrishna Shetty in his speech paid rich tributes to Indian culture and heritage and praised the social work undertaken by Guru Seva Samithi.  The Ambassador was honoured during the function for his committed and dedicated representation of Indian community in Bahrain.

The special attraction was the presence of Shree Rama Kshetra Dharmasthala founder trustee Shree Atmananda Saraswati.

The souvenir “THUDAR” was released during the occasion. Lolakshi Rajaram compered the programme.

    Billavas Bahrain's annual day celebration shows strength and unity of the community in this small island. Points has to be noted that,Every year samithi inviting great personalities in all the fields from India/Karnataka and honouring them.It's great to hear that, this year Samithi Honoured Indian Ambassador Mr.Balakrishna Shetty honoured by Sri Sri Atmnanda Swamiji for his outstanding contribution towards the welfare of Indian Community in Bahrain. we wish Guru Seva Samithi members good sucess and bring more more colorful event in near future.
