Ghosts Gain 'Admission' in Chennai School

Chennai, Nov 23 (mb): Without paying donation and fee, they got admission in a Chennai school!

It was goosebumps for the 400-odd students of a private school at New Washermanpet here, after they complained of ‘mysterious attacks’ and bloodstains on the back of the uniform, which parents suspected was the handiwork of 'ghosts.'

Parents on Thursday gathered outside the school and demanded the school authorities to conduct a 'puja' there. After this, the school authorities closed the school for the day.

A few of the parents complained that some 'invisible thing' had been touching their children in class and that the girls were unable to sleep at night as they felt frightened.

The incidents reportedly happened in a classroom and also in the laboratory.

When the students complained to their class teacher, she dismissed such claims. However, the students then complained to the principal who immediately called a pastor and conducted special prayers to 'drive away the ghost'. However the ghost reportedly 'refused to leave'.

Police officials, who visited the spot, said they did not receive any particular complaint with regard to the incident. "When I personally inquired some of the parents and teachers who were there, they said the principal had conducted a special prayer inside the campus," deputy commissioner of police N Kamini said.
