Udupi, Jul 23: Two workers were killed after a wall of historical Sri Veerabhadra temple at Hiriyadka collapsed during renovation on Saturday evening, July 23.
The deceased have been identified as Prasad Devadiga (30) and Lokesh (28).

Shivaprasad and Prakash Sherigar have sustained serious injuries during the incident. They have been admitted to nearby KMC hospital, Manipal.
As per details, five workers were renovating the temple when one of the dilapidate walls collapsed. The renovation work only commenced today. Two others who were trapped under the wall were rescued by people.
The temple renovation is under way in preparation for Brahmakalasotsava slated for 2017.
A case stands registered at Hiriyadka police station.
District in-charge minister Pramod Madhwaraj visited the place.
