K Marigowda
Speaking to media persons here on Saturday July 23, Parameshwar said that Marigowda's behaviour with an officer of deputy commissioner's stature was found to be objectionable and hence he is being acted upon. He added that the government will not intervene in the police proceedings against Marigowda, and that efforts to trace and nab him are continuing.
Police suicides
Before arriving here, speaking at Mandya, Parameshwar contended that it was wrong to say that police suicides have increased after he took over the ministry. He said that some reforms are being implemented in the department to reduce pressure for the police personnel. He requested the concerned not to commit suicide as suicides do not solve any problems.
