Dubai: Omzoor Parishioners’ Meet

Dubai, Nov 24: A get together of Omzoor parishioners was held in Karama Hotel Dubai on November 23, 2007.

The programme began with a prayer at 11. 45 am. This was followed by a welcome song by Arthur D’Souza, James, Sunil, Jyothi and Shalet.




Fr Freddy, Francis Fernandes Casscia, Dayan D’Souza were the chief guest on the occasion. Mr. Lancy & Mr. Jerome Saldanha were among special invitees.

Several entertainment programmes like spot games, songs, solo and group dances were the special attraction of the day.  Three rib-tickling hilarious skits kept the audience glued to their seats to the end.

 















Fr Freddy, the parish priest and Daiji Dubai member Dayan D’Souza and Francis Fernandes Casscia spoke on the occasion. The sponsors who were the backbone of the event were felicitated. Raffle draws were also held.

Apart from this three distinguished Omzoorians, Canute, Aurthur Pereira And  Joseph were also felicitated. “Rythems” a well known Music Group in Dubai, lead by Dony Correa Pernal entertained the crowd with some old & new Konkani / Tulu / Kannada Songs. Vinod & Joseph Rocked the Crowd with Catchy hindi numbers. Baila Masala which was the part of the programme won the hearts of the entire gathering. An entry coupon draw was also held.

George proposed the vote of thanks. A mouth-savoring lunch was served to all the parishioners who were present for the event. Dony Correa Compered the whole event

We profusely thank all the sponsorers who took initiative to make this celebration a wonderful one. The entire programme was well organized with lots of activities, skits, dances and variety of songs from all languages. Our hearty congratulations to all the members for the success of this celebration and we wish a very long life for omzoor divo to flourish always and also to come up in helping the deprived back home.
