Puttur: Bus overturns near Golithottu - nine injured

Puttur, Jul 26: A private bus moving to Mangaluru from Bengaluru fell by its side near Golithottu on national highway 75 after the bus driver lost control over the vehicle. The incident occurred at around 5 am on Monday and luckily, the consequences were not too disastrous.

The private bus, 'Seabird', tripped and fell by its side at a bend near Golithottu. As there were no other vehicles around the ill-fated bus when the accident occurred, a possible catastrophe was averted. Nine persons including bus driver, Kotresh (30) and passengers, Ravi (26), Naveen (21), Surendra (24), Kishan (22) and Sumukh (17) were injured. The injured stand admitted into hospitals in the town and Mangaluru.

Uppinangady police station personnel and people posted at Nelyady outpost rushed to the spot and paved way for resumption of smooth traffic besides helping the injured passengers and others. A case was registered in the traffic police station here.

    Near Nellyadi the road is too curvy, and during morning hrs bus drivers are too hurry to reaching destination ,experience drivers can only handle this type of situations,

    Well said Acchu. But bus drivers of age much less than 30 drive like Formula 1 cars on kudla roads. God save us!!!!!!!!

    How these drivers.driving in karnataka. Are they pilot. Like these bus become upside down. May be applied brake..while in speed.
