Mangalore, Nov 24: Customers fortnight programme was organised by Canara Bank at the banks Kottara Chowki branch office here, on Friday November 23.
Addressing the gathering, city based business entrepreneur Jagadeesh Boloor said that banks must provide financial help to dedicated youth who have entrepreneurial potential in them. He said his company Yokaka Marine Private Limited is a profit making company with over crores of rupees turn-over having clients all over the world.
Boloor mentioned that when he was 18 years old he had made a business proposal to one of the higher officials of Canara Bank, who had dismissed his proposal without any reason. However he said, he was backed by some other bank which saw the potential in the proposal. Against this background “I am still associated with Canara Bank, losing a customer in present day scenario can cost heavily to any bank in this competitive world”, he pointed out.
Canara bank city circle deputy general manager M M Kudva said that though such instances may have taken place in the past but Canara Bank is always a bank which is customer centric and customer friendly.
On this occasion branch manager Reese Mathew and Maroor group of companies chairman Maroor Padmanabha Pai were present.
