Mangaluru, Jul 28: Girimanja's restaurant at car street here has made the city proud by finding a spot in a BBC report. A report tited 'the tiny restaurants delighting Indians with just one wonder dish' prepared for the BBC has made a mention about 'Girimanja's'. The report throws light on five such popular restaurants from India that are known for unique, specialized dishes.
'Gitimanja's' is a small restaurant with a seating capacity of just 25. It functions from 11 am to 9 pm, and is sought after for its tasty fish fry. Owner of the restaurant, Nandim Pai, says that freshness and affection have earned popularity for her restaurant.

Nandini admits that they take care to use only fresh fish and fresh items when preparing dishes. She proudly claims that the cooks who joined in the business when the restaurant was started 40 years back, continue to work for her. She says that there are no plans to open any branches and she is happy running this tiny place.
The other tasty Indian dishes finding a mention in the report are Mailari Dosa of Mailari Hotel in Mysuru, Hariram Samosa of Allahabad, Biryani from Babu Bawarchi hotel in New Delhi, and Bund Gosht supplied at Alam Gir, Lucknow.
