Bahrain: Konkan Singers Celebrate 30th Anniversary

Bahrain, Nov 25: Konkan Singers Club Bahrain celebrated the 30th Annual Day on 23rd November at Palace Hotel.

The celebration started with the welcome dance followed by cultural dance by the children.  Henry Almeida, President of Konkan Singers Club welcomed the dignitaries, guests & members and attributed the progress of the club to active support & participation by the club’s members.

As the chief guest the Ambassador of India, Balakrishna Shetty emphasized on the cordial relations resulting in tremendous goodwill & diplomacy between India & Bahrain.  We Indians have discovered ourselves and promoted our country as the cultural superpower in the world, he said.

The entertainment programme consisted of novelty dance, cultural dances & comedy skits.

“Skylarks” provided the music. Entertainment Secretary Oswald D’Souza  compered the programme.  General Secretary Lawrence D’Costa delivered the vote of thanks.
