Kundapur, Nov 25: A musical competition will be held to mark the Founder’s day of Bhandarkar’s arts, science and commerce college at Kundapur here, on Wednesday December 5.

On this occasion, students from all the colleges including P U C and affiliated professional colleges will participate in the proposed event. The competition will be held at R K Shetty auditorium, and will be conducted on a grand scale. It will include classical music, classical instrumental, dasa sahitya songs, sugama sangeetha on classical lines, chorus or group songs in hindi or Kannada lyrics, Kannada flock songs and film songs in Hindi or Kannada.

All those interested in participating in the competition no admission fees will be charged. Interested persons are requested to contact the college principal before December 3 through respective heads of the institutions.

The winners will get a rolling shield named after Dr A S Bhandarkar the founder of the college and a certificate. Attractive prizes will be awarded to individual winners of the event.
