Dammam: Katipalla Muslim Youth Association's Annual Meet

Dammam, Nov 25: Katipalla Muslim Youth Association has conducted its Annual Gathering in the last week in Dammam Saudi Arabia. Function started with Qirath by Brother Ismail. A large Gathering of Non Residents from Mangalore and Udupi District participated. Function was presided by  Brother Abdul Hameed M H, Finance Director ARMS group of Companies and the Chief Guests were Brother Abdul Hameed Bajpe, President of OKKUTA, Brother Mohammed Mubeen Sulya, Brother Parvez Ali from Riyadh, Brother Abbas Uchil From Riyadh, Brother Mithur Hamza, Brother Ahmed Abbas, Senior Manager Al Franci Bank, Brother Mohammed Ishaq, Brother P Abdul Hameed, Brother Ashfaq Karnad , Emirate Abdul Khader and a large number of guests from Riyadh,  Al Hassa and Jubail
 
Welcoming the Guests and the Audience the President of KMYA P.Abdul Rahman has explained the importance of the annual gathering. In his speech he requested the community to participate in the welfare work to ease the burden of the down trodden. General Secretary of  KMYA Zakir Hussain has read the annual report of the Association and also briefed about the welfare program planned for the future.
 

Special guest was Khasim Ahmed, who flew from Mangalore to Dammam specially to participate in the program and to present a documentary film depicting the plight of some of the Muslim brothers and sisters of our districts, The documentary has moved the heart of the masses when the pathetic situation of Muslims were shown. The main reason for these are lack of education, Social deceases like Dowry and the Muslims artificial way of living to show off in life style and functions.
 
All those who were present have suggested to take up this matter in war foot basis and assured their cooperation in what ever way they can. Brother Khassim has promised to prepare the final documents in a short time and appealed all those who believe in Humanity to come forward to help this noble cause.
 

A special Felicitation Function was held to thank the various organizations working for the welfare of the community.  The Presidents and the office bearers of around 36 organizations were presented with the thanks giving letter and the mementos to felicitate them. It was highly appreciated by the dignitaries and the participants.
 
Various sports programs were conducted along with Quiz. Kabaddi and Volley Ball matches have drawn huge participants and crowd. Final match of Kabaddi was held between AMACO Jubail Team lead by Mukkachery Shabeer and Bhatkal team  and after a tough fight  AMACO Jubail team had won the match. Volley ball final was between AMACO Jubail team and    ARAMAX   and it was won by ARAMAX JUBAIL.
 

Brother Zainuddin of Al Mutlaq Furniture Company has entertained the audience with his unique songs. Ladies have held various programs for kids in a separate hall reserved for them. As it was full night program dinner and refreshments were served to all. Brother Zainuddin of Al Mutlaq and  P M .Zainuddin Katipalla were honored for their selfless services.
 
The function concluded with Dua and Thanksgiving by Brother Zakir Hussain.
