Police rescue Kidnapped Richard Marian from Rajasthan

Mangaluru, Aug 3: Mangaluru city police have taken new measures to contain crime within the commissionerate, revealed city police commissioner Chandra Shekar on Wednesday, August 3 in a press meet.
The measures include the crackdown on the criminals, up gradation of technical knowhow in stopping the occurrences of white collar crimes etc.
Axis Bank vigilant department experts have trained the city police regarding how the frauds and white collar crimes take place and how to tackle them. These crimes include credit card and net banking frauds.
Diya Systems from city has helped the police department in upgrading the police website.
List of 153 criminals released
City police have released the list of 153 most wanted criminals from Mangaluru. They have been booked for various serious crimes.
The list includes seven persons against whom red corner notices have been issued. They are, Nikhil Prakash Shetty, Ravi Poojary, Kali Yogish, Vicky Shetty, Vishwanath Koraga Shetty, Rashid Malbari and Chang wan Li from South Korea. The list also includes 5 persons against whom lookout notices have been issued. They are, Sijauddin, Tajuddin, Akbar, Umar Farooq, and Imran.

Police commissioner said that public can send the information to the police regarding the criminals and their names will be kept confidential.
Police commissioner also said that police website , Facebook account and Twitter handles of the commissionerate have become popular and of helped people to interact and complain.
Joint operation to rescue Richard Marian Nazareth
Mangaluru police with the cooperation of Bharatpur police from Rajasthan and Mathura police from Uttar Pradesh in a joint operation rescued Richard Marian Nazareth (33) who was abducted in Bharatpur.
Arun D’Souza from Bejai had sent Richard to Bharatpur after he came to know that generators were offered to him at a discounted price. Richard had reached Bharatpur on July 29 and he was taken in a pickup by abductors on July 30. Arun received a call from the abductors to pay a ransom of Rs 10 lac for the release of Richard. Arun approached the Mangaluru police and they formed a team headed by ASI Raju.
The police commissioner from Mangaluru spoke to Bharatpur IGP Alop Vasisth and Mathura IGP Durgacharan Mishra and sought for help.
Bharatpur SSP Kailash Krishnoy, Mathura SSP Bablu Kumar and Mangaluru ASI Raju with their personnel raided many gangs in Bharatpur and several places. They located Richard at Bastan in Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh border. Ijaz and two others from Mubarak gang were arrested by them. The abductors upon knowing this abandoned Richard at a place called Govardhan and ran away.
Ullal ASI Vijayaraj, Kankanady police station head constable Mohan L with Prakash Pinto and Pavanraj too had joined the operation team on August 1.
Richard told later that he was shifted to 7 places. They were 12 persons in the gang and 6 were responsible to guard him, he has revealed. Richard is yet to come to city with the police team from Mangaluru.
The search operation to hunt the abductors is still on.
