Mangalore Nov 28: “A total of Rs 156.88 crore has been used for various works in Suratkal in the past three and half years,” informed Suratkal MLA J Krishna Palemar spelling out his achievements and the work undertaken in his constituency. He was talking to media persons here on Wednesday, November 28.
In the course of his speech, he pointed out that during his term he had utilized around Rs 13.62 crore for various developmental works in the first year itself. Speaking about his plans he said a proposal for various developmental works worth Rs 142 crore has already been submitted and a proposal is on the anvil for developmental work costing Rs 127.66 crore is with the government.
Palemar giving further details on proposed developmental works and the expenditure incurred on it, said in addition to the above around Rs 10 crore has been proposed for the development of 27 wards of the city corporation in the constituency. Of this Rs 5 crore has already been released on November 15, he added.
A sum of Rs 8 lac and Rs 22 lac has been released for the development of Bondel-Moodushedde road, and Siddivinayaka road at Malavoor, he informed. According to Palemar important works like vented dam and road development were undertaken during his tenure.
