As per the details available from police sources, more facts have emerged from the recent investigations. Now it is said that main accused Niranjan Bhat's father Srinivas Bhat and driver Raghavendra knew that the murder of Bhaskar Shetty had taken place. Previously they had claimed that they had helped Niranjan unknowingly. Now it has been also established that the whole dead body of Bhaskar Shetty was burnt in the 'Homa Kunda' , not anywhere nearby as speculated earlier. These facts have come to the light after ASP Dr Sumana took over the investigations, it is said.
Niranjan Bhat discharged
Niranjan Bhat who had been admitted into Manipal Hospital to undergo surgery has recovered since yesterday and was discharged from the hospital on Friday, August 12.
Niranjan was admitted into a hospital after he consumed a diamond ring and two ear studs in a suicide bid. He was later shifted to Manipal Hospital when all the consumed items could not be ejected from body in natural way. The doctors performed colonoscopy and removed the stud on Thursday evening.
