The Karnataka Sangha, Dubai is socio-cultural, non-political and non-religious organization founded in the year 1985 to promote Karnataka’s rich and diverse heritage and culture, art and literature. One of the main objectives of the Sangha is to serve the kannadigas here, bring all kannadigas under one roof to share their common cultural ties and create unity under a common platform. The aim of Sangha is to provide assistance to the needy kannadigas here in the Emirate, provide forum for amateur talent, and invite professional artists from India, to encourage sports and games and to represent Karnataka in various programs held in the Emirates.

The Karnataka Sangha has excelled in it. The optimism and the spirit of the members is such that, in it’s infancy it self it has made an indelible mark on the shifting sands of the cultural milieu of the Indian community in the Emirates.

Volleyball, Throwball and Kabaddi Tourney on Friday 18th January 2008 and this year will hold the team events as follows;

1. Volley Ball for Gents
2. Throw Ball for Ladies
3. Kabbaddi for Gents

The team event is open to all kannadigas from UAE. The total number of teams for each team event is limited to 8 teams and on a First come First serve basis.

Games will be held at Emirates English Speaking School, Al Safa, (Near Safa Park) from 9.00 AM till 5.00 PM. The lunch will be served.
