M'lore: Head Load Offerings Carried to Hill Shrine of Blessed Joseph Vaz

Mangalore, Dec 3: The procession of head load offerings from Blessed Joseph Vaz Church, Mudipu to the miraculous hill shrine, located few kilometers away from the church has been undertaken by thousands of faithful on Sunday, December 2 at 3 – 30 p m.  The head load offerings were received by Fr Alwyn D’Cunha, parish priest of Our Lady of Lourdes church, Kanajar and Fr Andrew D’Souza, parish priest of Blessed Joseph Vaz church, Mudipu, with great fervour. 

Fr Lancy Saldanha, assistant parish priest, conducted the prayers, ahead of the head load procession.



Fr Reginald Pinto, parish priest of Elyarpadav church, led the novena in honour of Blessed Joseph Vaz, after the head load offerings were graciously received by priests, at the hill shrine.

CD and VCD based on the life of Blessed Joseph Vaz; produced by Vinod Gangolli was released at the same occasion. 



Fr Anil Cornelio, parish priest of Miyarpadav and parish priests conveyed best wishes to the large crowd of devotees. 

Felix D’Souza, vice president of parish council was also present.  Prof Rolphy Mascarenhas, delivered vote of thanks.
