Abu Dhabi Dec 5: The throwball tournament for ladies viz Koosamma Shambu Shetty Memorial Rolling trophy, is being organized under the auspices of Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha. The organizing committee of the said tournament in its release by Sarvotham Shetty of Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha  here, has extended an invitation to interested persons and their teams, for the above tournament to be played on Friday the 25th January, 2008 from 08.00 am to 6.00 pm at Abu Dhabi Indian School ground.

The release also makes a request to kindly confirm in writing all those who are interested in participation by Email : sarvo@eim.ae or Fax : 02- 5545577  on or before 10th January, 2008.  And also requests them to provide the names of their players, team captain/vice captain and eam manager.  Team can have 9 players plus 2 reserve players, the release adds. 

Koosamma Shambu Shetty the press release states is the mother of their grand patron Dr.B.R.Shetty. The memorial rolling trophy / prizes for the winning team and prizes for the runners up team will be distributed on the same day, states the release.

Dr.B.R.Shetty managing director & CEO of NMC Group of Companies will be inaugurating the tournament at 08.00 am alongwith his wife Dr.Chandrakumari B.R.Shetty.  Around 15 teams including teams from Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar are expected to participate in this tournament.
