Lalu, Gowda, HDK, Moily... star show for train launch

Mangalore, Dec 6: Union railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav will inaugurate the 6518/17 Mangalore-Yeshwantpur Express at Mangalore Central Railway station on Saturday.
According to a press release from Southern Railway, state governor Rameshwar Thakur will be the chief guest and Union minister of state for railways R Velu will preside over the function.
The function will also be attended by former prime minister H D Deve Gowda, former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, Union minister for labour Oscar Fernandes, former chief minister M Veerappa Moily, Rajya Sabha MP Janardhan Poojary, MPs D V Sadananda Gowda, Tejaswini Gowda, former minister Revanna, MLCs Blasius D’Souza, Ganesh Karnik, Shobha Karandlaje and DK Zilla Panchayat president Sucharitha Shetty.
The inaugural special train would leave Mangalore at 1 pm on that day and will run to open timings. The train will have one AC two-tier and one AC threetier coaches, six sleeper class and an equal number of second-class coaches, apart from two luggagecum-brake vans.
Regular service of the train will start from Yeshwantpur on Saturday, and on Sunday from Mangalore.
