My appeal to Modi sarkar, please bring a complete ban on Cow slaughter. And stop exports of Buffalo meat. Kindly release buffalo meat into domestic market.
This would be the best solution to the current problems.

All the concerned enforcement agencies have to get their act together, to stop theft as also, illegal transportation of cattle.

Punishment for the crime has to be so strict, as to bring this menace to a full stop, as early as possible.

Rajesh, Udupi, hope you know the difference between 'Illegal trafficking' and 'stealing' and what makes you to think the 'heard' belonged to a single owner? As for the traffickers fleeing from the scene, well, only a total moron would stay at the scene as a witness in a place like Kalladka and above all, no owner/farmer has placed any police complaint about the loss of cattle so far, not that reported in DW at least.

Central government should implement new law for cow issue.Because majority of Indians believe that cow is holy..But Animal is animal - we can't say creation is creator.India is secular Country As a Indian our responsibility to respect our culture,& others faith. .

ignorance is bliss. no one is claiming creation is creator . Cow is just holy for hindus just like many other things in the nature . We dont have a Italy to say who should eat and who should not eat . So its on our discretion we practice it . If the Dongi governmnet is so secular why does it not make cow slaughter legal like in kerala . But they would not do it as they need this issue to come up for politics

when it is told illegal, then why don't they follow the rules. May be by chance once or twice they safely did this, finally they are caught. Remember God is always watching. Really feel pity on those cows who are dead. Animals suffer for human mistakes.

It is not just the cows that are died, my heart goes out to the farmers who lost these cattle that is probably their livelihood.. But then when do the thieves care for God watching? and the blind supporters of these catle thieves also must have a sigh that the thieves are safe. that is the cruel reality.

Who's saying it's stolen cattle? Your sympathy for cattle owners (farmers?) is unwarranted unless your intention is to stir up the emotions of gullible readers. The owners must've sold their 'livestock' to these butchers.

    Geoffrey
The news says it is illegally transported. And if they run away from the scene, it only adds on to the stolen theory dear. and unlike draught situation, cows are heardly sold in herd in this season...

Alas, if crime has to be defended, one will whole heartedly give benefit of doubt to the criminals.. quite common.. LOL
