Mangalore: The Missile Man of India, former president A P J Abdul Kalam has just inaugurated the Father Muller Oncology Centre by cutting the ribbon.
Bishop of Mangalore Aloysius Paul D'Souza blessed the new centre, and invoked blessings over the new outfit. The former president was given a ceremonial welcome at the entrance. Bishop Aloysius, Father Muller Charitable Institutions director Fr Rodrigues, FMMC Administrator Fr Denis D'Sa, union minister Oscar Fernandes received him at the entrance.

Mangalore, Dec 9: The countdown has begun on the inauguration of the new oncology centre set up at Father Muller Medical College and Hospital in Kankanady.
Today it is a D-day in the history of Father Muller Medical College .
The 'Missile Man of India' - former president A P J Abdul Kalam - who is on his way to the hospital to inaugurate the Father Muller Oncology Centre is expected to arrive in another few minutes.
Father Muller Charitable Institutions has set up the new center for the cancer patients at a cost of Rs 10 crore.
The Centre incorporates state-of-the-art technology. The facility is equipped with a linear accelerator, which is attached to the CT Scan and Open MRI for accurately localisation of the tumour. The center has highly sophisticated 'Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)' and floor based Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) which is the first to be installed in India."
