Mangaluru: Vinayak Baliga murder - Naresh Shenoy seeks bail from high court

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Sep 2: Businessman Naresh Shenoy, who has been named as prime accused in the murder of RTI activist from the city, Vinayak P Baliga, has filed bail application in the state high court.

The bail application came before the single judge bench presided over by Justice B Srinivas Gowda on Thursday September 1. The bench put off hearing of the application to Friday.

Vinayak Baliga was slain in the early hours on March 21 this year with sharp weapons on a road near his home. The police had initially arrested two persons, but prime accused, Naresh Shenoy, had gone missing. Shenoy appeared during last week of June after his anticipatory bail petitions were dismissed by lower courts and high court, after which he was arrested. The lower court had dismissed his bail petition on August 9.

ISMAIL K PERINJE, PERINJE: what do you mean by saying by 'every ten days report to nearest police station.'? This man should be reporting to police every second or in other words be behind bars forever, but better still he get the death penalty and made to vanish from the face of this earth!!!
