Madikeri: Alleged cattle transporters assaulted, injured

Daijiworld Media Network – Madikeri (EP)

Madikeri, Sep 12: A group of people said to be belonging to Sangh Parivar assaulted two people in Kaggodlu who were allegedly ferrying cattle in their pick up vehicle on Sunday, September 11.

Basheer, the suspect in the pickup, was taking two animals belonging to Ganapathi from Kaggodlu.

The group that waylaid the vehicle assaulted Basheer and driver Salam. The group also fired from air gun and damaged the pickup windshield. While SDPI said that the cattle were being taken for farming, Ganapathi has complained to the police that the cows were stolen.

The injured have been admitted to Mangaluru hospital. A case stands registered in Madikeri rural police station.

Zeitgeist, Mangalore, you haven't understood my statement depicting the future if cattle traficking increases. I did not say there is any shortage of milk now but definitely will in the future till we have good people who raise cows for milk and not for meat. These cattle thieves have grown so selfish that they do not spare even the milk yielding cow. Hope my comment stands justified.

My argument has got nothing to do with the religious sentiments but I strongly feel that days are not too far where we'll hardly have any natural milk for consumption because of the growing cattle thieves. Milk is consumed by every bit of every religion, please learn to sacrifice, Milk or Meat.

Karthik, can you then say how are other countries managing with milk production where beef is part of regular diet!?. Unless bufallo meat (not cow meat) is allowed to be consumed freely, this stealing will not stop!.

Mr John, do not divert from the topic. My statement was purely in accordance with the cattle trafficking of those milk yielding cows. People are growing selfish day after day. Thieves will remain Thieves no matter what They will never stop their profession of stealing even if you legalize any kind of meat. There are good people in other countries too who raise cows for milk and not meat alone

    Karthik,

First, cows that are sold for slaughtering are in many cases are the cows thar produce low quantity of milk. Those cows are more burden on farmer.

Next , where is the shortage of milk? You are just stating silly reasons just to convince yourself that you have a good argument.

In Today's Udayavani Daily, it is mentioned that the cows were purchased from Ganapati. Under pressure from moral rowdies, Ganapati is lying that cows were stolen. Now the cops are verifying the call details between Ganapati and Basheer. Truth will come out within couple of days.
    Have patience.

Wow! Ganapathi complained that his cows were stolen only after these two poor muslims told Ganapathi's name!. Never knew that while stealing, people ask the name of the owner and then steal!!!.

Its same like you press disagree for even comments that say 'rest in peace'!!!. But tell me, if they were thieves, how come they were transporting in a open pick up and how come they knew Ganapathi was the owner of those cattle!?. Why did not Ganapathi complain before but filed complaint only after his name was told!. This is happening everywhere! First sell your cow, take money and then pass on the information to these sanghi goondas!

Wow man our police is nothing in front of these sanghis. I don't understand how these people get information about these things. Why cant our police trace these cattle trafficking people. Something's fishy here, if it was stolen cows then they would have covered it but they are transporting in open carrier.

Go Rakshaks have no time to protect go Santati .. Other ways they dont have money to feed them as it need space and resources. Its a hard job. Only they can do is trouble those who farm and take some political mileage. Unfortunately its known facts as many stopped farming cows because of the troubles from nakali go raksahks.

Something phishy...! Coorg each homes equipped with guns.. Cows Were Stolen in open pickup ..
    Hope Ganapathi needs Narco test..

Anyway if they stolen they must be finished as per the law.

Also I have a request for all Gau Rakshaks, Diary business in Dakshina Kannada is touching ground.. May be after few years we may end up showing cow models in pictures for our next generation if this continue.
I urge all Gau Rakshaks at least keep one cow at your home, feed them so that this Lineage (santati) will be protected.
As i understand 99% of gau rakshaks cant feed a single cow at their home and spend time in the name of fake gau rakshane.

Do you know how commodities are transported? Without bill taxman will not allow in goods vehicles.

@JL- if grazing cows go missing then its owner starts searching isn't it? Here cow owner must be happy that he has found his cows alive. Most of the case owner cannot trace it or may have found dead. Now law will take its own course of action.

Isn't there police who are this goons to take law in hands...In mewat haryana local gau rakshaks raped women in front of their family under pretext of eating beef and killed their parents...nothing different from Haryana minister who is busy checking biriyani samples from Muslim dominated establishment so as to make sure Muslims are not consuming beef during Eid..Coz in haryana eating beef is more crime than rape..some one was claiming his religion is not so rigid...how is it different from ISIS....both gangs of thugs behave in similar manner..Here they carry gun...what emboldens them to carry weapons and arms and use violence and rape as threat...It is inaction of government to tackle right wing religious force coz fear of loosing majority vote...Both congress and BJP both show similar attitude ...If a cattle transporter was carrying gun by now he would have been booked under terrorism charges...travesty of Justice!!!

Cows seen in pickup seems to young animals and taken care well by ganapathi. Please take action against thieves.
