Mangaluru, Sep 12: Thousands of people from villages and towns in and around Mangalore district can now shape their future easily, thanks to the online examination center inaugurated at MSNM Besant campus, Bondel on Monday September 12.
Harish Bhat, member, Group executive council TATA Sons, areas manager of consumers, marketing and retailing, Mumbai inaugurated the online examination center at MSNM Besant Campus at Bondel, Mangalore.
Harish Bhat started his address by thanking the Besant Institutions and his native Mangalore for welcoming him. He also conveyed the message of N Chandrasekaran, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Tata Consultancy Services.
He added: “Life is a never ending examination. In every step of life, we need to face exams. Exams are snapshots of our knowledge. The students should face the competitive examinations with confidence, self-belief, mental and physical concentration.”
Quoting the example of P V Sindhu, he emphasized on preparation and persistence.
T Ashok Pai, treasurer and secretary TMA Pai Foundation, Manipal, inaugurated the redesigned website of Besant Institutions sponsored by Women’s National Education Society and shared his views on how education is important for changing society and he also mentioned how the vision of TMA Pai was important in shaping the vision of costal Karnataka.
“Every problem has a solution but we should have the smartness to provide the solution,” he said.
Speaking of the online examination center, Pai said, “The center would not generate any major revenue to the Women’s National Education Society but it would be a way of social service through which we can give something in return to the society.”
During the inaugural function, Jayanthi Bhat formerly a teacher at Besant High school and also the mother of Harish Bhat was felicitated.
V Leeladhar, former Deputy Governor RBI introduced the chief guests T Ashok Pai and Harish Bhat to the gathering and gave a brief outline of the project i.e., Online examination center at MSNM Besant campus, Bondel.
He also shared his experience regarding the hardships associated with travelling to far off places to appear in competitive examinations. He said that this centre will ease the process for the examination aspirants. He also spoke about the strict measures taken against malpractices with the help of CCTV cameras, mobile jammers etc, and said that the invigilators for these examinations would be preferably the house makers with an intension to empower women.
Kudpi Jagdish Shenoy, president, WNES and Manel Annappa Nayak, vice president, WNES were present on the dais. Prof Rashmi H welcomed the gathering and Sham Sunder Kamath, secretary WNES proposed the vote of thanks, Vishma, MBA Student of MSNM Besant led the prayer.
