Mumbai, Dec 15: The Cricket Board will decide on Sunday on the issue of compensation to be given to chief selector Dilip Vengsarkar for not writing his newspaper columns.
"The decision on the compensation to be paid to Dilip Vengsarkar will be decided tomorrow," BCCI vice president Rajiv Shukla said here on Saturday.
The decision on the contentious issue, which led to a stand-off between the former Indian captain and the BCCI, is to be taken at Sunday's all-powerful Working Committee meeting of the Board.
Vengsarkar met Pawar and president-elect Shashank Manohar this morning at Pawar's residence on the issue of compensation and other guidelines issued to the selectors by the board and presented his point of view to the two bigwigs at the half hour meeting.
Shukla also said the constitutional structure of the newly promoted Indian Premier League will be finalised at the meeting.
"The meeting will also confirm the appointments of Gary Kirsten as the national team's coach and Dav Whatmore as the National Cricket Academy's director of operations," he added.
