Dilip Tirkey only Indian in FIH's 2007 All-Star Team

Germany, Dec 21: Ace defender and former captain Dilip Tirkey is the only Indian to figure in the FIH's 18-member men's All-Star hockey team for 2007.

Player of the Year Jamie Dwyer of Australia has been named captain.

Eight countries, Germany, Australia, Spain, India, Holland, Korea, Pakistan and New Zealand, are represented in the team.

Pakistan also has a lone player in Dilawar Hussain.

World champions and Champions Trophy winners Germany, Australia and Holland have four players each in the team.

The German players are: Matthias Witthaus, Tibor Weissenborn, Moritz Fuerste and goalkeeper Ulrich Bubolz.

The Australians named in the team are Jamie Dwyer (captain), Brent Livermore, Bevan George and Mark Knowles.

Champions Trophy bronze medalists Holland are represented by goalkeeper Guus Vogels, defender Taeke Taekema, Teun de Nooijer and Robert van der Horst.

The other players are Sergi Enrique and Eduard Tubau (both Spain), India's Dilip Tirkey, New Zealand's Ryan Archibald, Pakistan's Dilawar Hussain and Jong Ho Seo of Korea.

Spain's Dutch coach Maurits Hendriks and Holland coach Roelant Oltmans are coaches.
