Bhatkal: Gas- laden tanker overturns at Gunavanthe, creates panic

Bhatkal, Oct 2: A tanker carrying gas overturned at Gunavanthe near here and created panic among the residents of the locality on Sunday, October 2.

There were no casualties. Vehicular traffic on NH 66 was disrupted for more than two hours. A nearby substitute road was used to connect to the highway.

People from the locality were asked to leave the place until the gas is cleared completely from the tanker.

Police and fire brigade are managing the situation.
