Mumbai, Oct 2: The premier of Konkani film ‘Noshibacho Khel’ written by the popular Konkani writer and dramatist, Henry D’ Silva Suratkal and produced under the banner of Canarites Youth Association, Mumbai Films Private Ltd, was shown at the Maxus Cinema Hall, Jari Mari on the evening of Saturday, October 1.
Bishop Percival J E Fernandes blessed and set the film show in motion. Model Bank executive president, Albert W D’ Souza was the chief guest. Dramatist and director Francis Fernandes, Cascia, president of Fudar Foundation John D’ Silva, and musician Neffy Rod were present on the dais as guests of honour.
Bishop Percival commended the forty years long services of Canarites Youth Association which, he said, strives to support artistes, with social concern. “Films are a powerful medium for the development of
language. The language will improve when a large number of people watch the film,” he said.
The film is directed by Bollywood film director Harry Fernandes. The multi-talented Elton Mascarenhas has acted as the hero in the movie. Popular singer, Esther Noronha, is the heroine. Ranjith Louis,
Alwyn Andrade, Sujatha Louis, Stany Alvares, Arun Raj and others have also acted in the film.
"The film will be shown every day from October 2 to October 6 at 6.30 pm at Jari Mari Maxus cinema. The tickets can be bought online or at Maxus" said Henry D’ Silva.
Film producer Henry D’ Silva gave a key note address and proposed the vote of thanks. Rons Bantwal welcomed and compered the programme.

The chief guest gave flower bouquets and honoured them.
