Bahrain: Bunts Bahrain to host cultural fest Karavali Utsava on Oct 14

Bahrain, Oct 3: Bunts Bahrain, under the auspices of Kannada Sangha Bahrain, is hosting a mega cultural event titled ‘Karavali Utsava 2016’ (Coastal Festival) on October 14.

The programme, to be held at the Al Raja School auditorium, will cover a variety of entertainment events.

Bunts Bahrain, established 12 years back, is a socio-cultural organisation that has come to the aid of the needy within the community.

The organisation will involve the entire Kannada community in this mega programme.

As part of the event, multi-award winning ‘Prashamsa’ team from Mangaluru, India, will present a comedy show which is sure to tickle the audience's funny bone.

The star attraction at the event will be Kannada actress Radhika Chetan. She has been acclaimed for her roles in successful movies including ‘Rangi Taranga’ and ‘U Turn’.

Several social and community leaders from India and other Gulf countries will take part in the invitees as special guests. They include, Kollur Mookambika Temple trust head Krishna Prasad, well-known architect Jeevan Shetty Mulky, famous model Manoj Shetty, social worker and community leader from Abu Dhabi Sarvottam Shetty.

The event will focus on the coastal cultural heritage of Karnataka with the presentation of a variety of entertainment programmes from the region. There will also be a food festival with tasty delicacies from members' kitchens on the menu.

Also, seven teams from Bahrain and Dubai will take part in a 20-minute comedy skits competition.

The programme starts at 1 pm with a traditional procession. Entry is free for the event.
