Udupi, Oct 11: A-20-year-old young girl was duped of Rs 1, 20,000 by a youth in the pretext of providing a seat in air force training.

A complaint has been lodged in Udupi women’s police station against the youth named Rajath in this regard.

The complainant girl alleged that the man in question introduced himself to her over phone, after which he took Rs 1, 20,000 from her by promising her of providing a seat in air force training.

According to the complaint, Rajath was introduced to Nidhi (20), daughter of Revathi P H, resident of Moodubarali, Heggunje village in Udupi when she was undergoing air hostess training in Mangaluru.

Later Rajath met Nidhi and her mother at Udupi bus stand in August 2015 and took Rs 1, 20,000 with the promise of getting her a seat in air force training. Thereafter when Nidhi was in Bengaluru, he allegedly took her to his house in JP Nagar and misbehaved with her. Until August 2016 Rajath used to pressurise Nidhi to come to Bengaluru over the phone after which he has been absconding.

Lately in October when Nidhi learnt that Rajath hails from Kadekar in Udupi, she lodged a complaint against him.

Udupi women’s police have registered complaint under section IPC 420 and 354.

According to UN survey, India has the highest number of people living and working outside the country, about 30 Million. Unemployment and under employment is rampant, owing to uncontrolled population growth. In Kerala, to get a teacher's post, one has to shell out 6 to 8 lakhs, What has happened to this girl is deplorable, but, employment conditions in India also is deplorable.

A few months back same Duping case happened in Udupi. People are watching endless & meaningless TV serials only? not watching news? Not reading newspaper? Reading only dirty magazines? Really, it is again & again hight of Foolishness, Stupidity & Nonsense!!!! Police shouldn't scratch their head to crack this case.
