Kasargod: Two murder accused with underworld link nabbed in Kolkata

Kasargod, Oct 12: Police from Kolkata North Fort arrested two persons on October 8 for their alleged involvement in the murder of Balige Azeez from Paivalike Bayikatte.

The arrested have been identified as Abubakar Siddique Noorusha (28) from Paivalike Kayarkatte and Shihabuddin alias Harris (24) from Paivalike Achekere.

They were arrested with deadly weapons.

Accused Noorusha is also said to be a suspect in the shooting incident in the house of a Kasargod Bevinje resident contractor with a demand of Rs 40 crore. It is said that he has nexus with the underworld in Kolkata. Noorusha was in judicial custody relating to the murder of Balige Azeez and was released on bail. National Investigation Agency (NIA) has questioned the suspect following clues that he has links with ISIS organization.

Meanwhile Manjeshwar police station sub inspector P Pramod led police team travelled to Kolkata on Wednesday, October 12 to gather further details. They will investigate the finding of deadly weapons from the suspects.

Noorusha is said to be an accomplice of underworld element Ravi Poojary.
