Davanagere, Oct 13: Leader of the opposition in Karnataka legislative council, K S Eshwarappa, said that he has expressed his displeasure at the unilateral decision taken by state BJP president, B S Yeddyurappa in appointing office bearers of district units of the party in Davanagere and some other districts, to in-charge of the party affairs in Karnataka, Ramlal. He said that as advised by Ramlal, brigade formation issue, and appointment of office bearers would be discussed with Yeddyyrappa.
Eshwarappa said that the national leaders have said that Yeddyurappa would be the party's choice for the post of the next chief minister of Karnataka, and as an ordinary activist of the party and disciplined follower, he will abide by this advice. He said he was always in BJP and will continue to be in that party till his last breath, and that he can never think of formation of another party.
He said that it would be wrong to say that he was not nursing dissatisfaction over appointment of office bearers. "There has been disgruntlement in several districts on this point. We will discuss these issues in the party forums," he added. Eshwarappa also revealed that the proposed meet of Rayanna Brigade at Tumakuru was postponed at the instance of Ramlal.
"I will not continue in Sangolli Rayanna Brigade. I am not its member. No one has asked for disbanding of the brigade. It will continue as an apolitical entity. Yeddyurappa has announced that he does not need the brigade for the BJP to rise to power and himself to become chief minister. Many spiritual leaders and religious guides have also opined that the brigade should not be involved with politics," he explained.
