Udupi, Oct 15: The new multi-storey shopping complex, ‘Geethanjali Shopper City’ was inaugurated by district in-charge minister Pramod Madhwaraj on Friday, October 14.
Madhwaraj also inaugurated a new saree collection outlet of ‘Geethanjali silks’ on the occasion by lighting the lamp.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Pramod said, “This is the first in city that a multi-storied saree showroom has come. It is a one stop shopping mall for men, women and kids. The available dress materials are of quality and are available at very reasonable price.”
“The enormous and well-equipped show room has been initiated with the partnership of Purushottam Shetty and R K Brothers. They are all committed to society service. Moreover, they have given job opportunities to many youths. It is really a matter of pride.” Madhwaraj added.
Speaking on the occasion, Karkala MLA V Sunil Kumar said, “It is the second biggest saree show room next to one in Bengaluru. R K Brothers have made their name at the state level.” He wished them all the best for future.
Raghavendra Rao, architect and engineer of the Geethanjali Shopper City was felicitated on the occasion.
As many as 28 different show rooms were opened by different guests in the centre.
The partners of the Shopper city have spent Rs 20 lac for constructing the concrete road for the public. They also renovated roof of a nearby auto rickshaw stand.

Santhosh Vagle welcomed the gathering. Lavanya led the prayer.
