Udupi, Oct 15: Hackers from Pakistan have started targeting websites of religious places in India in an attempt to avenge surgical strikes on Pakistan land, it is gathered.

Two days back, the administration of Pejawar Math came to know that their official website was hacked. When the website was opened, a message that 'Hacked by Pak cyber professionals' started appearing.
Professionals, who maintain the website, restored it to normal. Now the website is opening properly. The details of various programmes of the Math, photos and videos can be seen in the website presently.
The Krishna Math administration has complained about the incident to Udupi town police station as a precautionary measure. The police station in turn has forwarded the complaint to cyber crime division. Cyber crime division has already started the investigations, it is learnt.
Investigations only can reveal if the website was hacked by Pakistani hackers or from those in the country.
