Kundapur, Oct 19: Police have intensified the investigations relating to Byndoor deaths and suicide attempt case where two children lost lives with their parents admitted in hospital.
It is also leant that the ‘main reason’ behind the incident, the lover of Shankaranarayana, has disappeared from her home.
The incident had taken place on Monday, October 17. First it was termed as a suicide pact. Now it has emerged that wife and children consumed poison without knowing about it.
The 16 pages death note left by Shankaranarayana mentioned his love outside marriage as the main cause for the ‘suicide pact’. But it is almost certain that he poisoned the family and wanted to live with his lover. What plans he had in mind? Why did he leave the death note? – These questions will be answered only after thorough investigations.
Poison in soft drink
Now it is revealed that Shankaranarayana mixed poison in Mirinda soft drink and gave it to his wife and children who consumed without any knowledge that it had the poison.
Wife serious
Meanwhile Mahalaxmi, wife of Shankaranarayana, is undergoing treatment and is in serious condition in hospital. Doctors have said that they cannot say anything about her condition for the next two days.
Drama continues
The police, who tried to interrogate Shankaranarayana in the hospital on Tuesday, could not spend more time with him as he said he was not feeling well. But he insisted that it was a suicide pact. Police later learnt that Shankaranarayana was well enough to make phone calls to few people.
Lover disappears
Police, who thought they could get some crucial details from the woman who was in love with Shankaranarayana, were in shock. They came to know that she has been absconding and her whereabouts are not known. Police are in the lookout for her. Her name has been revealed as Laxmi alias Akshatha.
Funeral of innocents
Funeral of innocent children, Ashwin Kumar (15) and his sister Aishwarya Lakshmi (13) who died in the incident, was held on Tuesday in the house yard where they lived. Local people, school teachers and fellow students were more in attendance. Locals have been looking after the cows at the house belonging to Shankaranarayana.
New development
It is also now claimed that Shankaranarayana had picked up a quarrel with his wife on the day of the incident and had told her that he would bring his lover home. How he hatched the ‘poison’ incident, how he wanted to bring his lover home and why did he write such a long death note, are the things Shankaranarayana himself has to reveal to police one day.
