Gadag, Oct 28: BJP state president, B S Yeddyurappa, stated that Eshwarappa will be leading the backward classes Morchas functioning under BJP. He said that the air of suspicion that had cast a shadow in the environment with the identification of Eshwarappa with Sangolli Rayanna Brigade recently has been cleared and that all the party leaders are working together now for the party's success in the coming election.
Yeddyurappa added that K S Eshwarappa and B J Puttaswamy will together handle the responsibility of organizing OBC convention of the party slated to be held shortly.
About former minister, Srinivas Prasad, who recently quit Congress party, Yeddyurappa said that Prasad is inclined to join BJP and that he would be announcing his decision after holding meeting of his supporters at Mysuru on November 7.
About the clean chit given to him by the special CBI court into the case of kickbacks, Yeddyurappa noted that the petitioner, S R Hiremath, has already announced his decision to question this judgement in Supreme Court. He said that he welcomes anyone who wants to fight with him, adding that he is clear in his conscience that he had done nothing wrong, which has already been proved by the court's decision.
At the same time, Srinivas Prasad held meeting at the travellers bungalow at Gundlupet in Mysuru district on Thursday with his supporters and BJP activists.
