Mangaluru, Oct 31: “Congress party is a broken house. In the situation, BJP leaders and activists should unite, strengthen the party and prepare to achieve power in the next elections,” said state BJP president B S Yeddyurappa.
He was addressing party workers in Dakshina Kannada BJP office on Sunday evening, October 30.
“Revenue minister Srinivasa Prasad has resigned from Congress for having left out from the post of minister. Minister R V Deshpande, former MLA Vishwanath and former union minister Janardhan Poojary have admitted that everything is not fine in the party. Congress leaders have fought with regard to appointments for boards and corporations showing that Congress is a broken house,” Yeddyurappa said.
“Srinivasa Prasad had worked for BJP when Vajpayee was the prime minister. He has decided to come back to BJP. I have spoken to BJP national president Amith Shah about it. Srinivasa Prasad will be admitted to BJP on November 7,” he added.
“Chief Minister Siddaramaiah acts like a dictator. Tippu Jayanthi and steel bridge in Bengaluru are examples for it,” Yeddyurappa said.
BJP district president Sanjeeva Matandur, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Vidhana Parishat opposition leader Capt Ganesh Karnik, Kishore Rai, Manohar Kotian and others were present.
Later Yeddyurappa visited the house of Karthik who had died after being attacked by unidentified miscreants at Asaigoli. He consoled the parents of Karthik.
