Mangaluru, Nov 6: Former union minister and veteran Congress leader Janardhan Poojary offered prayers in Kudroli temple on Sunday, November 6 for the victory of United States presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
"If Hillary Clinton wins, good things will happen not only to the United States, but for the whole world including India. Being a women and mother, she has the capability to be the president of the United States." Poojary said after prayers.
"A year ago when the presidential campaign began in America, Hillary had lesser popularity. As per today's statistics her popularity has increased to 46% while her opponent Donald Trump is behind at 43%." Poojary added.
"If Trump wins the whole world is in danger. Even the Hydrogen bomb may be used. He is a person of nuisance and does not listen to anybody. Even our country will be in danger. Hence he must be defeated and many countries are praying for the same. So the whole world is waiting for the November 9 elections and the results." Poojary explained.
"Since our country is in danger, every citizen of this country has the responsibility of praying for the victory of Hillary Clinton in their respective worshipping places. So I request every citizen to do so and I have already offered my prayers," Poojary said.
When asked if Hillary could be a bad administrator, Poojary said "Every person is known by his or her past and looking at Hillary's past, she is person of values and it is evident in her talk. The world wants her to be the president of the United States."
When asked about the reports that Clinton is favouring Pakistan in her foreign policy, he said "Hillary has studied India and Trump has not. Hillary has a very good opinion about India. She will not favour Pakistan."
"Indian journalist Rajdeep Sardesai visited the colleges of the United States. It was clear to him that the youth want Hillary as the president. The votes Trump receive are because he is from Republican Party." Poojary said.
Poojary also said that he offered special prayers for the well being of the state, country and the world.
