Dubai, Jan 12: Bhargava Vijaya-Dakshadvaya yakshagana staged at Nashwan auditorium in the Al Nasara Liesureland on Thursday January 10 evening entertained the jam-packed audience to the maximum.
The baritone voice of Bhagavat Jayaprakash Nidvannaya, superb acting by Sidhakatte Chennappa Shetty of Thenku-Badaga Thittu form of yakshagana and Chandevadana by none other than well-known Vorkady Ganesh Sitaram were the special attraction of the evening.
The new talent of yakshagana Shweta Bhat stole the limelight on an entertaining evening with her lively portrayal of Parvati's role. Even after several decades of modernization, women do not find an automatic entry into yakshagana based on their acting skills. But Shweta grabbed the opportunity with both hands and mesmerized the gathering. Accordingly other artistes too came in for special praise by the gathering.
On the other hand organizers Yakshamitra too should be appreciated for organizing such an entertaining evening and also for honouring the artiste coming from native place.
Sidhakatte Chennappa Shetty was conferred with Yakshagana Kala Tilak award while Jayaprakash Nidvannaya was conferred with the Bhagavat Ratna award on the same occasion.
This programme was just fantastic!!!All praise to the Yakshamitraru and sponsors. The role of Dakshayini by Shweta Bhat was superb!Keep it up Miss Bhat.

IT WAS REALLY FANTASTIC.FOR PEOPLE LIKE US SUCH PROGRAMMES ARE LIKE OASIS IN DESERT.REALLY I ENJOYED A LOT.IT IS RAINY WEATHER THESE DAYS AND CHILLING COLD WE FELT LIKE WE WERE IN MANGALORE.
