Samajwadi Party under Center's pressure: Mayawat

New Delhi, Nov 23 (IANS): Taking a jibe at the Samajwadi Party over demonestisation, BSP chief Mayawati said on Wednesday that the ruling party in Uttar Pradesh should come out of the Centre's influence and support the public.

"Samajwadi Party's silence over demonestisation proves that it's under pressure of the central government," Maywati told media here at the Parliament, as opposition united over the demonetisation.

The BSP leader said that she wants the SP to join the debate on the demonetisation and support opposition.

"I don't understand why they are silent, why are they not speaking anything on the issue and realizing that people are facing a hard time," she said.
